Playstation, created by Sony Entertainment after a backstab of a deal done by Nintendo and Philips CDS, they ended up making their own console that began to rival Nintendo and Dominated them in the 90s and 2000s with the Sony Playstation. Since then they have been going strong with some of the biggest names in gaming, with the most iconic ones of each category. Unlike with nintendo where due to their exclusive IPs and franchises taking center stage, alot of Playstations biggest games are not always exclusive, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t contendors for the top spot in this list.

Now unlike with some other choices, due to their specific system or era, playstation we will talk about as a whole, since some of their top games will get ported easily in their later console, either with the same or better graphics. With that said, Bioshock was one of the most influential of the releases with the PS2. Top RPGs of Playstation
Now RPGs are the bread and butter of Playstations library, for if Nintendo were the king of platformers, Playstation was the king of RPGs. Now some will not entirely agree on these examples, but I think in my opinion these ones stand out the most in terms of story, gameplay and world building. Metaphor Re: Fantazio is the newest IP among the RPGs made by ATLUS, famous for their Persona and Shin Megami Tensei games. This one follows more towards a fantasy world divided by races and politics during a conflict to see who will become a new king after the previous ones death. Tales of Arise is the newest game released in the Tales series, following a masked man who encounters a woman who is from another planet, their fate intertwine as he must use a newfound power to break the power balance of the oppressors that threaten to destroy his world.
Playstations Worst Games
So Playstation who became a dominant king in the console wars after snubbing Nintendo is prone to a good number of stinkers. Ridge Racer 2011 was meant to show off their handheld Playstation Vita power, but ended up being disappointed, a poor start that led to the end of their hand held atttempts. Lair was a hyped game of fighting in large battlefields riding dragons, but six axis motion controls killed any control you had with the game. The Order 1886, a marvelous and beautiful game, was too short and weak. It make have shown the PS4s graphic capabilities but its length shows not much could be done as no other game took advantage of this.
